Last summer Audiotalaia was presenting the remixes done by Adrián Juárez for the Argentinian duo The Cherry Blues Project. Now we are presenting Amílcar, a compilation of mixes and remixes done by The Cherry Blues Project where the work of both Argentinian experimental sound projects meet together to demonstrate one more time the strength of the South American experimental Music scene.

In this piece of work we can experience a journey through minimal spaces. The great sound design skills from Adrián Juárez meet the sense of spatiality exemplified on The Cherry Blues Project.

An interesting soundscape where the synth sound designs meets a certain and emergent folk music resistance growing up in sound experimentation.

After the monumental and epic "Pedra, Sang" released at Khaos Ex Machina. Nigul presents a compact album following a straight path across dark ambient electronica.

In "Un cas estrany" makes a turning point on Nigul Project. This time Nigul's sound becomes more synthetic, getting to the point and keeping a narrow structure of drones and small and hidden melodies.

The listening of this 9 track album becomes a dense journey through obscure ambiences spotted with reverberated micro-objects floating on a claustrophobic space.

Solarstorm is like being trapped in a close orbit of the sun and feeling the violent explosion in the sun's atmosphere. Solar flares take place in the solar corona and chromosphere, heating plasma to tens of millions of kelvins and accelerating electrons, protons and heavier ions to near the speed of light.

Most flares occur in active regions around sunspots, where intense magnetic fields emerge from the sun's surface into the corona. Flares are powered by the sudden release of magnetic energy stored in the corona.

The release also contains twelve colored ink drawings to wrap the whole release and build a visual concept for this audio release. The drawings were made by Sorin Paun himself.

"Overall I wanted to give this one five stars because it really is a superb concept and is beautifully executed. The artwork in particular is stunning, and the inclusion of a dozen hand-drawn artworks representing the concept of the album is a very sweet touch. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars is the mastering. I'm sure that overdriving the pulsations so far was for dramatic effect, to give the impression of the sheer power of the sun, but it didn't do my sound system or my speakers any favors. Back the gain off about 5 dB and you have a damn near perfect release. As it stands, it is merely excellent. :-) Nice work."

In 2001 The Cherry Blues Project released an album called El Viaje. Now Audiotalaia it's extremely proud to present a compilation of seven tracks that Adrián Juárez (also Argentinian Musician) remixed from that very album. The result of the mixture of two different approaches on sound builds a new field of interpretation and performance regarding experimental music. El Viaje Remixed it's a wonderful experience to be heard and think a introspective trip to the essence of traveling.

Talaies Sonores is a project about, landscape, sound an digital interaction with natural environment. It's about geolocation and sound geotagging. Many of the live sets by Mensa are settled inside Talaies Sonores Project.

The proposal consists in prepare, produce and perform a series of concerts on the open air, surrounded of nature. I use to go to the mountains to check place where to play. The places have to be on high altitude (1000 m above the sea more or less) and have to have a huge overview over a big extension of landscape. The first 4 sessions where done in mountains around Catalonia, those four sessions where performed in a continuous chain of mountains that goes parallel to the coast of Catalonia.

When I chose the places I bring there a sound equipment, laptops and speakers, and as well a electricity generator run with gasoline. The thing is to play in a improvised way electronic sounds processed digitally. Then when the sessions it’s over I recorded in eight cds that are placed inside an hermetic plastic recipient (tupperware). Afterwards I hide the tupperware in the same place where I did the session and I keep the coordinates of the place with a GPS device. At home I upload on the net those coordinates so if you want you can check it and go to the place to listen the sessions. The exact location and the profile information of each cache it’s placed at www.geocaching.com
